... Structure, Sign and Play in the Discourse of the Human Sciences

Derrida forces us to rethink the concept of the centre within the structure. This is especially relevant with the advent of hypertext on the World Wide Web.  What constitutes the structure of hypertext?  What marks the centre of hypertext?  Where is the closure of hypertext, if there is any?  In fact, is it meaningful to discuss structure, as writers, of the hypertext in the traditional notion?  George Landow’s idea of the de-centred text serves to further illustrate what Derrida propounds in modern Critical Theory.
